B.SC in Microbiology

About

This programmee is designed to equip students with the relevant skills, knowledge and competencies to be able to perform rigorous tasks related to Biochemistry, Human Physiology, Environmental issues, Biology, Microbiology and a host of other disciplines. The curriculum of the programmee is designed in such a way that it allows hands on training which will significantly benefit graduates. Student will be exposed to conduct research and perform experiment to help them think critically and proffer solutions to existing societal problems. It is a four year, eight semester programmee including undergoing internship programmees to enrich the quality of the programmee.

Entry Requirement

The general minimum University of Lunsar admission requirement for an undergraduate degree programme is FIVE (5) Credits at the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) including Mathematics and English Language with a minimum grade of C6 in not more than two sittings or TWO (2) Credits of “C” or better at the General Certificate of Education, Advanced level (GCE ‘A’ Level).

In addition to the general minimum requirements of the University of Lunsar, applicants seeking for admission into the Bachelor of Science in Microbiology are required to have obtained minimum grade of “C” or better in Biology, Chemistry and any other subject(s) with a science background
