Vice Chancellor

Professor Sheikh Umarr Kamarah is a dual citizen of Sierra Leone and America. He is an academic with an enormous passion for education. Professor Sheikh Umarr Kamarah is currently the Director of Community Relations and Development at Marampa Mines Limited, in Lunsar.
He was born and raised in Lunsar in the North of Sierra Leone. He attended the Ahmadiyya Primary School in Lunsar and the Ahmadiyya Secondary School in Freetown. Sheikh Umarr Kamarah earned a Higher Teacher’s Certificate in English (HTC Distinction) from the Milton Margai Teachers College, now Milton Margai Technical University. He earned a B.A. (Hons) in English from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Leeds in the U.K., and a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in the United States of America. Professor Kamarah is an educator.
