Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) education projects are included in the curriculum to prepare graduates for the complex roles of nurse educators, leaders, and mentors in diverse healthcare and academic environments. These projects bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, equipping future educators with essential skills for teaching, curriculum design, and quality improvement.

Message from the Dean to Our Prospective Students Welcome to the School of Nursing at the University of Lunsar. Whether you are advancing your practice from a State Registered Nurse or from a State Enrolled Community Health Nurse to a Baccalaureate degree prepared Nurse, or pursuing a career change to nursing, or secondary school graduate pursing a nursing degree, or interested in educating future nurse leaders, the University of Lunsar School of Nursing offers unique opportunities to grow personally and professionally. The healthcare system in Sierra Leone is still grappling with issues of cost, quality, and safety constantly. To meet the healthcare needs of our society, future nurses must be prepared to meet diverse patients’ needs, function as leaders, work collaboratively and effectively with other health professionals to transform the healthcare system in ways which will ensure that those who need care receive it in the most efficient, safe, and affordable way possible. The University of Lunsar’s School of Nursing is committed to partnering with others in elevating the standard of Nursing Education in the country.
